I just recently got two million views and i'm so excited! Thank you so much guys! Since that happened I thought i'd make a post like this to help you guys out in starting your own blog or improving the one you already have. Having a blog can be a great tool to express yourself and gain followers and friends who have the same interests as you.
♥ Starting out ♥
One of the first things you should think about is what kind of blog you want to have and how you want to go about doing so. There are Craft bloggers, Lifestyle bloggers, Beauty bloggers, and well.. just about every single kind of blogger. I personally wanted to mash everything together into one and thats what I did with my own blog. If you're unsure of what kind of blog you want to have then take inspiration from the things you like and your favorite bloggers!
♥ Creating a layout ♥
Creating a layout that you like can be tricky if you have no knowledge of photo editing or HTML. Google is seriously your best friend. I learned how to do everything on my blog by googling it. It's pretty simple! Plus teaching yourself how to do something is always better than paying someone to do it for you. If you simply cannot figure out how to do it you can always use etsy to find someone who can create a blog layout for you.
♥ Organizing your blog ♥
Overall organization of your blog is crucial. Using tons of different colors and fonts can be hard on the eyes. Cluttering your blog with unnecessary things can prompt someone to not visit your blog as often. Try your best to create a theme for your blog and stick with it. I'm currently addicted to buying clip art to use on my blog! It's really useful to decorate your blog.
♥ Ads and gaining viewers ♥
Ads can be really useful to you if you have a good amount of followers because you can earn some extra cash on the side. If you don't have many followers at all I wouldn't recommend it because you won't make anything much at all. To use ads your blog has to be G/PG rated, so keep that in mind! Using social media to connect with your viewers is key. Creating a Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and an email are crucial. All of these are things that will help you promote your blog and gain you more followers! When making blog posts be sure to tag it with relevant words. Title your blog posts with something simple! Link your blog on everything you have and make it CLEAR. Clearly labeling where people can find you is very important.
♥ Keeping up with the times ♥
Make posts that are RELEVANT. I cannot stress this enough. If you make a blog post on a movie that you've watched recently and title it (name of the movie) review and people google that phrase they will be brought to your blog and you'll have some new readers! If something major comes out like a new makeup line, movie, product its best to review it or post about it while its still relevant because people will be googling a phrase similar to your title! Keeping up with your blog is something also very important. If you don't blog very often people will forget about you and your views per day will drop drastically.
♥ Don't be a snob ♥
A lot of people have the mentality that people are constantly copying them, their style, their blog and it gets very annoying. You should aspire to be someones blog inspiration! People often find themselves by loving someone else or finding inspiration in another person so don't take it so seriously. Tell people where you buy things because that will gain you tons of followers! Be nice!
