What to get your boyfriend for valentines day ♡

Don't think that Valentines day is just for girls, because guys like to be pampered too! Whether or not the person you're buying a present for is your boyfriend or just a friend you claimed as your valentine its always really lovely to receive presents! Here are some of my favorite things I could find online that I myself would give to a Valentine. Its nice to give people presents that aren't exactly themed so that they could use them all year round! A really cute idea is to make them dinner at home or go out to eat and treat them! I feel as if not enough gal's take their boyfriends out on valentines day!

What to get your girlfriend for Valentines day ♡

A really cute idea for V-day is to pick out an outfit for your partner to wear and take them out for a nice lunch or dinner! I picked out these pieces that I thought were really Valentine's day like. I think that anything pink, red, and just downright girly is absolutely perfect for Valentines day. This is one of my favorite holidays because everything is so pink! My three favorite picks for this post are the pink lace dress, the peach sunglasses, and the what I love about you book. The book is really fun because you can fill it out before you give it to them!

Ipad mini review ♡

I've been thinking about buying an iPad for the longest time and recently over Christmas I was gifted one, and I was so happy! The reason I didn't ever buy one myself or talked myself out of buying one was because I was scared I wouldn't use it. I already own an iPhone and Mac computer so I felt like it would just be kind of useless and I would be wasting my money. 

I was really excited when I got it and started downloading all of my favorite apps (Leave a comment down below if you'd like me to do a post about whats on my iPad) First I wanted to talk to you guys about why I wanted an iPad. I'm a college student and while taking my laptop to school is fun its also pretty tiring and actually worries me that it might get stollen or broken. I wanted something smaller and more compact to carry around with me everywhere. Also, I don't have a TV in my room because I just don't want to have a TV in my room so I wanted something I could watch movies and netflix on. 

Its perfect for everything I wanted it for. I use it pretty much every single day for more than an hour. I use it for a lot of business related things as well. Its a great way to stay organized and clean. I'm really glad I got the iPad mini instead of the regular sized iPad because I like using it when i'm laying in bed at night and if it was bigger than it is, it would be a lot harder to move and use comfortably. The smaller size is absolutely perfection. I can't comment on how useful it is for school yet because I haven't started the spring semester yet- but I will try and update this post once I do! I won't be using it for textbooks though. Just for taking notes and passing time AKA playing games and watching Netflix.

Some downsides to the iPad are that a lot of apps aren't made for the iPads larger screen so you might not be able to download all your favorite apps. Another would be that obviously, you can't use it everywhere because you might not have WIFI and I know that you can get cellular for it but thats why I have a phone! Other than those two things I can't really think of major downsides to the iPad mini. 

The battery life lasts around 5 hours watching straight video and probably around 10 playing around on it. Sometimes I go days without charging it. Its a breath of fresh air compared to my iPhone 4s...  I really like the smart cover (although it was like 30 dollars!) it sticks to the front and when you peal it off the screen unlocks for you. 

Honestly, I would totally recommend getting any kind of iPad if you're a student or if you travel a lot. Carrying around a bulky laptop can get annoying and I'm so happy I have my iPad. If you don't go to school or travel a lot you might find yourself just using your computer more and it might be a waste of money. I'll for sure be using this constantly when school starts and I can start using cute bags again instead of using huge tote bags or backpacks to carry my laptop in!

My all time favorite makeup products ♡

1 ♥ Mac (Studio fix concealer) I've used a lot of different concealers but this mac concealer is my all time favorite because it covers everything. I have some acne scars and when I want full coverage I use this concealer all over my face and it makes a flawless finish. If you get a lighter color you can use it as a highlight, and you can use a darker color to contour! Its perfect, really. 

2 ♥ Mac (Archie girl collection pearlmatte) This product actually isn't available anymore and i'm really sad about it, so I only use it for special occasions. It was apart of Macs Archie girls collection from 2013. I use the lighter pink as a highlighter on the top of my cheekbones and the whole thing as a blush for a rosy pearl finish. It looks really doll like!

3 ♥ Benefit (Hoola) My favorite bronzer hands down. I don't like shimmery makeup because if you have acne prone skin, it can make things look worse. Hoola has no glitter or shimmer in it what so ever so its fantastic. I use it to contour every single day. 

4 ♥ Nivea (Lip butter in raspberry rose) Oh my gosh, I cannot speak enough good words about this product. It has a light tint to it that is beautiful. It makes your lips look so soft and amazing! If I could change one thing, it would just be the packaging because I don't like putting my finger into the product.

5 ♥ Urban decay (Naked basics) If you're new to eyeshadow and would like to start playing with shadows and have the money to spend a little bit more I would highly recommend this. It has all of the basics (just like the name suggests) and I use it for my normal day to day looks. 

6 ♥ Revlon (Color stay foundation)  My favorite foundation because it stays on all day! I don't know if its just my skin type or the foundation because I could seriously wear this for 24 hours and it wouldn't come off. The coverage is really amazing and it comes in tons of shades for all you beautiful people out there!

Trip to Santa Monica ♡

So today Sloth and I decided to take a little trip up to Santa Monica just to drive around and hang out! It was super fun and instead of using a film camera, I used a DSLR. Let me know which you prefer for my lifestyle posts! ^~^ 

When we got to Santa Monica it was still really early so the fog was still there which was sucky because I really wanted to enjoy the sun! The amusement park was closed too which was sad because I haven't been there in years.

After walking around the pier for a bit we walked over to Third street promenade and we went into Urban outfitters and bought some pins ^~^ Guess which are mine?!

I totally forgot that the 'barbie house' was in Santa Monica so I was shocked when I saw it. The rumor goes that the creator of barbie built/lives/owns that house. Its not true, but we can all pretend! So cute.

We went over to the museum of flying because educational and Sloth adores planes so much so I thought it would be fun! We actually ended up talking to some guy that works there for a while and he taught us a lot of things we didn't know which was pretty cool!

After hanging out in Santa Monica for a while we went over to Venice beach because my boyfriend has never been there before so I wanted him to check it out with me! I didn't take a bunch of pictures because it was really ugly outside and to break it down to you if you haven't been before (drugs / homeless people / street acts ) & LOTS AND LOTS of people. I actually saw Kassem G (if you know who that is!)

I had lemonade for the first time ever! It was super good but REALLY expensive :-( I actually found out they're opening one up here in San Diego and I'm stoked about it because the lemonade was seriously so good.

We kind of ran out of things we wanted to do around 5pm so we went over to Little tokyo because I love the Japanese photo booths there! Its $10 for one machine and it takes about 4-6 pictures and you get to edit them and it prints it out on sticker paper. They also have UFO machines with plushies in them and I really wanted the beer plush and i've wanted it for almost two years now! I can never get it x___x  I was pretty disappointed with Little tokyo this time I feel like every time I go the stores get more and more expensive and it sucks! We ended up going home pretty early because we were both super tired. I was running on only two hours of sleep! Anyways, I had a really fun time going back to my hometown and hanging out!
