How to clear up your acne ♡

Acne is seriously the worst so i'm going to give you guys a few tips on how to clear your acne up. A lot of these tips will help moderately but if you have very severe acne please consider going to a dermatologist! Because they can help you clear up your acne very fast.

 ♥ Letting your skin breathe
If you wear makeup try your best to wash it off when you get home from work/school. You don't have to wear makeup when you're just sitting at home.Washing your face and letting it be product free for even a couple of hours will do wonders.

♥ Wash your hands more often
Before applying makeup and washing your face, wash your hands! Your hands get really dirty over the day and washing your face with dirty hands is doing the opposite of cleaning your face. Its really helpful to keep a little hand

♥ Don't over wash your face
Washing your face twice a day is the perfect amount. Once in the morning and once at night. Washing more than that can over dry your face which can cause annoying flaking on your face.

 ♥ Exfoliate your skin
Exfoliating your skin is great because it gets rid of all of the dead skin cells, making your skin fresh, glowing, and healthy! I have a diy green tea scrub that you can read about here. You can even just use sugar to scrub your face/body! It works great.

♥ Don't try out new products too often
Trying new things is great, but not so great for your skin. Some products take a little while to work and some might be breaking you out so if you're trying out more than one new thing you might not know whats breaking you out.

 ♥ Change things out
Cleaning the things that touch your face seem obvious but a lot of people don't do it. Changing out your towels you use to dry your face, cleaning your phone screen, and changing your pillow can change things dramatically for you. These things carry a lot of germs and changing them out and cleaning them up can help a lot!

How to make friends ♡

It seems like i'm getting so many messages on my tumblr lately of you guys asking me how to make friends in school, whether it being because you're starting at a new school, or just feel like you need to make some new friends i've come up with some tips for you guys to use! I start school on Tuesday, and I know A lot of you have started school already, so I hope that this is still of some use to you.

♥ Overcome your fear
Fear is the number one factor thats stopping you, and anyone really from making friends with everybody! In middle school and high school kids can be really mean, and the media makes it seems like if you're the new kid then everybody is going to automatically hate you. But in my own experience  with moving around quite a bit, that was never the case. Its so easy for me to just say "well just talk to people!" but I know its a lot easier said than done. It takes time and practice to get over your fear of people rejecting your advances to be friends. But the reason I wanted to include this, is because you always have to keep in mind that there are good people, and there is bad people. You will meet both, so don't get discouraged if you meet a few bad people who will be straight up rude to you. Now you'll just know to stay away from them.

♥ Be friendly, but not over friendly
The reason I said not to be over friendly is because people who are over friendly tend to be taken as people who are "trying too hard" and kids and teenagers just love to tell people that they're "trying too hard". If you're starting out at a new school, talk to the person sitting next to you. A great thing to start off with, is a compliment. Say "Oh hey! I like your ____" generally, by giving them a complement you can kind of sort of tell what kind of person they are. Open, or not. If they smile and say thank you! Then they will be a more open person and you can say something like "You're welcome! (insert why you like that particular item)" and you can have a simple yet very good starting conversation. If the person seems moody, and not really taking your compliment, you know to try and talk to someone else. Find things in common with people and talk about them! People love to talk about themselves so ask them about things they like and if you genuinely like those things too, they will be more inclined to want to be friends with you.

♥ Be honest
Lunch time is so scary when you're new because you have no idea who you're going to sit with. So if you're new try finding some friendly people or even one person and while you're talking to them try sneaking in that you're new and that you don't have any friends. Most of the time the person will offer to walk with you to class, or even invite you to lunch with them. If they don't, don't worry! Ask them! Say something like: "I feel so lame but, I think you're really cool and I don't have any friends at all yet here so do you mind if I hang out with you at lunch?" Almost always will the person say yes. But in the occasion that they say no for whatever reason just say: "oh its okay! I'll manage" and try talking to someone else!

♥ School activities
To be honest with you, this is something I didn't really do, but I know it's something a lot of people do, do. Joining clubs, and sports is the number one way to meet people because you already have something in common with them! You'll be spending a lot of time with these people so you're pretty much guaranteed friends. This also works with electives you can pick, because you can ask the person why they picked that class and that you love (whatever the class is) too!

♥ Be careful
High school is a really strange time for teenagers because they're all trying to find themselves and in doing so a lot of bad things tend to happen like, drugs, drinking, and sex. But as your big sister type person, I just want to warn you all that you don't need to do anything to be cool. I think you're pretty cool all on your own! Personally, I was never peer pressured in high school because I made it pretty known that I wasn't into doing those kinds of things so people who did, didn't bother me about it but just be careful okay? I love you all and would hate to see anything bad happen to you guys! High school is all about getting good grades and trying your best. It will shape the way for a lot of peoples future, so its a good thing to try your best and not get caught up with bad people. I love you!

How to treat and get rid of frizzy hair ♡

Hiya kittens! A lot of you may or may not know that I have naturally curly hair. So what comes with curly hair? Frizz! All of you girls out there with frizzy hair will feel me on this one, it SUCKS. So I came up with my favorite DIY treatments for those of you who want to calm down your frizzy hair. I've tried all of these treatments and i've noticed that they all helped me personally ^__^

The first thing I would suggest is coconut oil. Coconut oil is seriously AMAZING. You can cook with it, use it as massage oil, and even put it in your hair. This makes an amazing mask on its own. What you can do is scoop a couple handfuls of this into your wet hair and work it from your roots to your ends. Once I do that, I put a shower cap on and leave it on for two hours. Once I do that, I hop back into the shower and wash most of it out of my hair and get a little shampoo and wash the rest out. If you have very oily hair I would suggest washing it out with shampoo because the coconut oil might make your oily hair worse. Once your hair is dry, it will look noticeably shiny, healthy looking, and a lot less frizzy! You can do this once a week if you'd like. Another great thing coconut oil is good for, is growing your hair out.

A great spa like treatment for your hair is getting olive oil, putting it in the microwave for about 15 seconds (check to see that its not super hot before putting it on) and putting it on your tips to your ALMOST scalp. The reason I don't think you guys should put it near your scalp is because olive oil may break you out! Leave it on with a shower cap for about two hours and wash out with a little bit of shampoo to get the remaining oil out.

Avocados are my favorite to eat, and put in my hair! They are a little expensive to buy, but the results are great! Smash up some fresh avos and apply to wet hair. You can also add plain yogurt to the mix to make a really refreshing hair mask. Leave on for two hours and wash out with a little bit of shampoo!

Small tips:
Dry your hair with paper towels.
 Always condition your hair
Wash your hair every other day (use dry shampoo)
 Avoid using heat
 Always use heat protectant

How to be confident ♡

Hi guys and girls! For ages now i've wanted to make a blog post on how to be confident. Now obviously, we can't all have the best confidence in the world, and I myself don't have the best confidence in the world, but we can all help one another! Feel free to leave comments below on how you help yourself feel confident, so others can read it and you could help others as well!

♥ Stop comparing yourself to others ♥
This is probably the hardest step in becoming confident. But its something we need to stop! We are all beautiful kings, and queens. No matter what race, color, weight, or gender! At the end of the day, you will still have your pretty little face, so theres no need to even think about other people and what they have. In todays society its so easy to get caught up in what other people have that we forget about how lovely we are. A wonderful exercise is to write down all the things you love about your life on a piece of paper when you're happy, and read it when you're sad. Thats what I do, at least. Just remember kittens, this isn't something thats going to stop right away. It takes time to realize you're a huge rockin' babe!

♥ Wear what YOU want, and rock it ♥
A lot of people always ask me how I have the confidence to wear the things I do, and it makes me so sad that so many people are scared to wear what they like. Guys, its 2013! Have you seen some of the things people wear?! I know its kind of scary to have lots of people staring at you, but clothing is a way to express your inner artist! Wearing the type of clothes you like is what makes you, you! If you want to begin to change your style, a good tip is to do it slowly, because then you get used to things gradually, and after a while you begin to think its fun that people are looking at you! You get a lot more compliments than you would think! People admire others who are brave, you may influence someone to break out of their shell!

♥ Accept compliments ♥
You're amazing! If someone compliments you instead of denying the compliment, take it! It also feels really nice to give them one back. It's an amazing cycle that makes not only one person feel better, but two. When you deny a comment it makes you look stand offish and your mind and heart don't accept the compliment even though it was given to you. So next time, accept it, and give one back!

♥ Positive role models
This is a kind of silly thing to say but finding a positive is a really great thing! Some people think having a role model is weird, or some people even think you're "copying" them but who cares. Some people find comfort in looking up to someone. A great role model is albinwonderland. She's not only really cool and amazing, but her views on life are really fantastic. I always refer to her when people ask me who to follow. Point is, don't feel guilty for looking up to someone.

♥ Embrace what you love
Doing things that you love, and practicing them is the most fulfilling thing ever! Trying out for your schools sports teams, joining a club, or doing other things you're interested in can help you meet friends who have the same interests and ultimately help your confidence.

♥ Life is about progression, not completion
A lot of people like to think that confidence is just something that NEEDS to happen. Its something that happens over time and will always become better. Just like everything else in life. Theres always room for improvement. Perfect, exists, but in different variations. No matter what, love yourself, because theres always someone who loves seeing you smile. I love you!

How to get healthy looking nails ♡

Have your nails been beaten to death by nail polishes, chemicals, and removers? I'll help you bring them back to life! Having healthy, strong nails is key when you want to grow them, or even keep them from chipping/breaking

♥ Use nail polish remover without acetone.
♥ Keep your hands and nails hydrated.
♥ Give your nails a break from nail polish so they can breathe.
♥ Dip your nails in olive oil for 2-4 minutes every other day.
♥ Massage your hands/nails. This increases blood flow and may help them grow.
♥ Use cuticle cream to push back cuticles.
♥ Eat more veggies if your nails are brittle.
♥ Apply a clear top coat before applying nail color so your nails don't stain.
♥ Using a mixture of lemon juice/honey/sugar will help moisturize and help stained nails.

How to get a summer job ♡

Recently i've been getting tons on requests on making a blog post on how to get a summer job, or just tips on doing job interviews and I was hesitant at first because i'm only 20 really so i'm not some super expert... so take everything I say with a grain of salt. These are all my opinions and things I myself have experienced.

So more than likely if you are looking for your first job its going to be a chain restaurant, fast food, or a big retail store. If you have no job experience I wouldn't recommend going around looking for an office job or something you obviously wouldn't be qualified for. Always remember that your first job isn't going to be the best. Its probably going to be something you really don't want to do but it's your first job and you need to build up some credibility! If you do somehow land a job that you really DO want (like I did) then yay! But it's hard to get lucky like that sometimes. Now a days you apply online to places which, in my opinion is a lot easier than going in person to apply. But its ALWAYS better to go in person to ask if the store is hiring because sometimes they might ask you to have an interview right then and there! So its always best to go around looking for a job in BUSINESS CASUAL. After having three different jobs I cannot tell you how funny it is when people come into my work in full on suits with a brief case applying at an ice cream shop. Some nice pants (no blue denim) and a nice top is just fine. Unless you're applying for a high position... Thats a different story.  When you're going around looking for  job always bring copies of your resume. A lot of beginner jobs like fast food places and chain retail stores don't normally require them but allow you to give them one if you want. It will make you look more professional than someone else who doesn't have one though. So keep that in mind. I'm not going to go over how to make a resume in this post because you can find tons of resources online on how to do that.  So lets go over everything!
♥ A quick summary
♥ Dress business casual
♥ Apply in person and online
♥ Make a resume if you can
♥ Wait five days, then call to check the status of your application
♥ Don't take it personally if you don't get hired
♥ Whenever talking to someone who works at the establishment.. SMILE SMILE SMILE

So congratulations! You landed an interview! Interviews can be really scary and intimating but the best thing to do is to stay calm and be yourself. People who interview new hires are really good at detecting lies and when people are uncomfortable so if you have to you can practice with a friend! Usually the questions they ask you are "why do you want to work here" "tell me about yourself" "what are your strengths and weaknesses" those are the questions I have heard a lot. I read something that said the interviewer knows within the first three minutes of the interview if they are going to call you back or not. So first impressions are crucial. Be as outgoing as you possibly can without coming off as fake and smile a lot! Knowing about their products and what you will be selling is a really good plus as well. When you walk into the store and say you have an interview don't just walk in and say "I'm here for an interview" Walk up to someone and say " Hi my name is (your name)  i'm here for my interview at (the time your interview is at) and when they tell you for example "Hi! Sure, you can sit right over there" Say something like "Thank you so much, what was your name?" and shake their hand. Leave an impression on as many people as possible. Not just the person interviewing you. I've found that the interviewer (usually the manager) asks the people working how you were acting towards them, and if you didn't really say much to them they wont have much to say about you. But if you do what I suggested then they will be like "Yeah!, (he/she) introduced themselves in a very polite way." At the time of the interview they will more than likely let you know if they want you to come to another interview (usually with a higher boss). If they ask you for a second interview you pretty much have the job. I've never heard of someone going to a second job interview that didn't get the job. Unless you don't pass the drug/background test.

♥ A quick summary

♥ Relax
♥ Know the products the store sells
♥ Introduce yourself
♥ Smile and be outgoing
♥ Make eye contact and do not fold your arms
♥ Make a connection. Start a conversation with the workers (if they aren't busy) about something you see them doing. You can even start a conversation with the interviewer. For example, for a recent interview I had the interviewer asked me if I had any prior experience in photography and I said yeah, I do i've been doing it since middle school and I want to be a wedding photographer and he continued to say that he does photography in his spare time as well and we talked about that for about 10 minutes. That was a connection I made with him, and he remembered me for it!
♥ Bring your ID/SSN
♥ Dress for your job. For example, if you have an interview for Forever 21, you're going to express your fashion sense since its a fashion based job. If its a food place, business casual.
Don't text! Even if you're outside waiting for your interview. It makes you seem unapproachable.
♥ If the interviewer asks you a question, answer it with a couple of sentences. Not a couple of words.

I've had four jobs my whole entire life! I've worked at Build a bear, and I currently work at ColdStone creamery, SeaWorld, and Stay cute (tokyo hardcore). Prior to working I was a camp councilor for two years at an over night camp!

I hope this helped some of you doll faces! If you have any other tips leave them down in the comments!
