My all time favorite makeup products ♡

Mac (Studio fix concealer) I've used a lot of different concealers but this mac concealer is my all time favorite because it covers everything. I have some acne scars and when I want full coverage I use this concealer all over my face and it makes a flawless finish. If you get a lighter color you can use it as a highlight, and you can use a darker color to contour! Its perfect, really.

Mac (Archie girl collection pearlmatte) This product actually isn't available anymore and i'm really sad about it, so I only use it for special occasions. It was apart of Macs Archie girls collection from 2013. I use the lighter pink as a highlighter on the top of my cheekbones and the whole thing as a blush for a rosy pearl finish. It looks really doll like!

Benefit (Hoola) My favorite bronzer hands down. I don't like shimmery makeup because if you have acne prone skin, it can make things look worse. Hoola has no glitter or shimmer in it what so ever so its fantastic. I use it to contour every single day.

4  Nivea (Lip butter in raspberry rose) Oh my gosh, I cannot speak enough good words about this product. It has a light tint to it that is beautiful. It makes your lips look so soft and amazing! If I could change one thing, it would just be the packaging because I don't like putting my finger into the product.

Urban decay (Naked basics) If you're new to eyeshadow and would like to start playing with shadows and have the money to spend a little bit more I would highly recommend this. It has all of the basics (just like the name suggests) and I use it for my normal day to day looks.

Revlon (Color stay foundation)  My favorite foundation because it stays on all day! I don't know if its just my skin type or the foundation because I could seriously wear this for 24 hours and it wouldn't come off. The coverage is really amazing and it comes in tons of shades for all you beautiful people out there!

Im on a search for a great brow product so please leave me comments below of your suggestions! XOXO ^__^

Nars blush review (Desire) ♡

I've never owned a Nars product before because I usually buy drug store makeup but i've really wanted  to try a Nars blush because I always hear such wonderful things about them so I decided to pick one up! I got it in the color 'desire' and its a matte hot pink shade with no glitter in it.

At first I was a little concerned about how wearable this color would be because its so bright but after trying it on I fell in love. I use an angled blush brush to wear it and you only need a tiny bit of it to show up on your face. You can build it up to have a really intense color but in my case, that isn't really what I want. This blush turns out looking really, really lovely if you only apply a little bit of it.

Desire is really pigmented so if you're planning on using it for more natural looks this blush will last you a long time for sure. I wore this blush yesterday from 7am-1am and it lasted all day. I didn't have to reapply at all. Which is fantastic because most blushes just fade away as the day goes on.

I wanted to show you what the blush looks like in a more intense color, and a more natural color. They're both beautiful! I'm really glad I ended up getting this color and will repurchase it if it doesn't last me forever! I would list the pros and cons but I honestly cannot think of any cons for this blush!

Makeup for beginners ♡

New to makeup and have no idea where to start?! In this blog post I'm going to show you some really cheap alternatives to spending all of your money on expensive makeup you don't even know will work for your skin. All of the products featured will be things i've actually tried and liked! Makeup is a really fun thing to play around with, so explore!
Foundations can be really hard to pick from because well, they stay on your face all day and if you have acne prone skin that can be scary. The foundation I recommend the most is Revlon ColorStay. I've been using that exact foundation for over a year now and haven't changed at all! I have combanation skin (not very oily/not very dry) and I get this for oily skin and it have amazing coverage and lasts all day. The Maybelline Super Stay Foundation is another great foundation. It doesn't have as great of coverage as the Revlon foundation but it's still comparable. Those two foundations are often the most talked about! Lastly is Maybelline's BB Cream. If you have skin that isn't too troublesome or aren't looking for much coverage at all just something to even everything out then this is for you. This is kind of something to throw on when you're just going out to the store. It doesn't last all day either!

Mascara is something you never need to splurge on. I've been using Cover Girl's LashBlast  for years and I love it. It adds ton of volume to your lashes and doesn't clump at all. Maybelline's Colossal is actually the mascara i'm using at the moment and both are fantastic. Although Maybelline's is a lot better at creating length and the formula is a lot more wet so if gives an all around darker look.

The only drug store eyeliner i've ever used is Maybelline's Eye Studio. Its exactly the same as MAC's fluidline but Maybellines lasts longer and doesn't dry out like MAC! It takes some practice to learn to use a brush but once you practice it will look fantastic. I've never been a fan of liquid or pencil liners.

I've found that revlon eyeshadows are really amazing. They seriously have so many colors too! They're pigmented and last a pretty long time! On the back of them they even show you how to use the colors. Drug store eyeshadows aren't my favorite because I absolutely love Urban decay shadows but if you're new to makeup these are really amazing to start with.

Lush shower products ♡

Earlier today someone told me that since they're in college they cant use lush's bath products so i'm going to make a post on some of my favorite lush shower products! There are tons of fun things from lush that you can use to spice up any shower, that are just as fun as the bath bombs.
I take a lot more showers than I do baths and here is some of my absolute favorite shower products! Sweetie pie is one of the first shower products I ever bought. It looks and feels exactly like jell-o, its so cool! It smells really nice and lasts a long time. Next up is A solid shampoo, if you're living in a dorm this is probably the best thing for you. These solid shampoos are really easy to use and last a long time. This particular one is Jumping Juniper. Since its getting closer and closer to Christmas Lush actually has their Christmas collection out so that means Snow Fairy is out! It smells absolutely amazing and is one of my favorite lush products of ALL TIME! If you to buy one thing from this list i'd recommend that most of all. Going along with gels products is this wonderful Fair Trade Honey shampoo. Honey is amazing for your hair, and so is this shampoo. If you struggle with dry skin then Dreamwash is for you.  A lot of people say they don't like the smell, but I do! Go smell it in the store before you buy it. And last but not least is the wonderful Porridge soap. Its not a seasonal product but the smell reminds me of winter. It's like a soap you'd use if you lived in a forest. It's fantastic!

Limited edition Halloween Lush products ♡

My favorite time of the year is when Lush starts releasing all of their seasonal products. The first batch is always Halloween so I wanted to share with you guys what they are selling this year. I bought all of these, so I will be posting about them, but i'm scared the review might not be up in time for you kittens to buy it. Thats where this post comes in handy. This years stuff is so cute!

Inspired by the ruler of the Pagan Feast of Fools, Lord of Misrule brings mischievous revelry to the tub with a spicy herbal blend of patchouli and black pepper oil. As it slowly froths in the water, hypnotic swirling silver luster is released and the deep green exterior soon gives way to a rich, wine-colored center. Just like at the Feast of Fools, when the wine begins flowing, the revelry really begins! Popping candies fizz and crackle, creating a world of magic and mischief right before your eyes.

This past Mother’s Day we invented an adorable, pink raspberry-scented bubbler called Mumkin. She was so popular that we’ve created Pumkin: her autumn counterpart to help us celebrate the arrival of fall! This mischievous little character has gotten into the Halloween candy early with a candy leaf and a licorice top, so be careful he doesn’t sneak into your candy stash when you’re not looking! Crumble into the tub to lavish yourself in mounds of cozy bubbles and soft, beautiful orange waters on a cool autumn night. The delicately-blended sweet and earthy aroma of orange flower absolute and ylang ylang oil softly perfumes the skin and leaves it feeling clean and fresh.

This bewitching ball of bubble mixture is a deep indigo colour like the very edge of sunset. It is studded with star anise, cloves and blackcurrants and scented with a blend of essential oils to make a helpful potion in your bath. Rosemary, peppermint, frankincense and myrrh make it a mystical mixture to clear emotional barriers and give you mental clarity. We scatter in some fresh parsley for good luck. Bathe in this brew as often as you can before it disappears at the end of the year; make your resolutions as you bathe, let all your mental blockages dissolve in the bath water and disappear down the drain.

Let this surprising little bath bomb spirit you away into a golden, lustre-filled bath. Don’t worry, Soot Ball won’t turn your bath water black – instead we’ve filled this bath bomb with radiant golden lustre, to feel as though you’re bathing in luxurious liquid gold. The olibanum (frankincense) is known for its calming and grounding effect on the mind, whilst the burnt caramel scent of tonka absolute and earthy sandalwood oil together create a sweet, spicy fragrance that wafts through the steam.

Twilight

Much to our showering delight, Twilight shower gel is back this holiday season! We just couldn’t get through the winter without lathering up in this fan favorite from last year. Inspired by our best-selling Twilight Bath Bomb, our iridescent purple body wash has the same comforting lavender and sweet tonka fragrance that has fast become a can’t-live-without LUSH scent. Lather up in a hot shower before bed and you’ll be ready to drift off to dreamland.

Let the good times roll review ♡

This facial cleanser from lush is limited edition for the fall/winter months. This is my first time using this product but lots and lots of people swear by this cleanser. I was told that this isn't going to be limited edition anymore but i'm not 100% sure if that is true or not. I bought this off of the lush USA website for 12.95. I wanted to buy it off of the UK site but they didn't have it at the time that I bought it, so I just caved in and bought it because I couldn't wait.

I absolutely love the smell of this. It just reminds me so much of fall and winter. The smell is pumpkin/buttery popcorn/warm. It's hard to explain but I really do love the smell, although if you are sensitive to smells you might not like this. But looking at the reviews on the lush website, I couldn't find anyone complaining about the smell. The cleanser i'm using at the moment is actually aqua marina and I swear by it but for about two weeks I used this cleanser to see how it is.

The texture of this cleanser is very sandy, but soft at the same time. It reminds me of moon sand, if any of you guys used that when you were little! It can be a little abrasive if you don't like scrubs but it's weird because its moisturizing enough to use every day. After the first use my face felt really soft and it seemed like it brought a lot of color back into my face, which is strange because you know how when you wake up in the morning you look really pale and dead? I feel like it made me look really awake. After a couple of days I got a couple of pimples but i'm not sure if it was because of this, or something else. Now its been two weeks and my face is really clear and is looking really healthy! I can see why so many people like this cleanser so if you haven't tried it I really recommend it. It is a little pricey, but I imagine it will last about two months.

♥ Some announcements!

I'm very sorry for the lack of posts lately, i'm kind of going though a rough patch in my life and i've been pretty down lately which has resulted me in being absent from a lot of the things I enjoy. I really hope to be back to blogging every other day again soon. Please don't forget about me! Also, I wanted to tell you guys that in December i'm planning on blogging every single day and doing about 10 DIY gift ideas so just to get you guys excited for that ^__^

How to clear up your acne ♡

Acne is seriously the worst so i'm going to give you guys a few tips on how to clear your acne up. A lot of these tips will help moderately but if you have very severe acne please consider going to a dermatologist! Because they can help you clear up your acne very fast.

 ♥ Letting your skin breathe
If you wear makeup try your best to wash it off when you get home from work/school. You don't have to wear makeup when you're just sitting at home.Washing your face and letting it be product free for even a couple of hours will do wonders.

♥ Wash your hands more often
Before applying makeup and washing your face, wash your hands! Your hands get really dirty over the day and washing your face with dirty hands is doing the opposite of cleaning your face. Its really helpful to keep a little hand

♥ Don't over wash your face
Washing your face twice a day is the perfect amount. Once in the morning and once at night. Washing more than that can over dry your face which can cause annoying flaking on your face.

 ♥ Exfoliate your skin
Exfoliating your skin is great because it gets rid of all of the dead skin cells, making your skin fresh, glowing, and healthy! I have a diy green tea scrub that you can read about here. You can even just use sugar to scrub your face/body! It works great.

♥ Don't try out new products too often
Trying new things is great, but not so great for your skin. Some products take a little while to work and some might be breaking you out so if you're trying out more than one new thing you might not know whats breaking you out.

 ♥ Change things out
Cleaning the things that touch your face seem obvious but a lot of people don't do it. Changing out your towels you use to dry your face, cleaning your phone screen, and changing your pillow can change things dramatically for you. These things carry a lot of germs and changing them out and cleaning them up can help a lot!

My updated skincare routine ♡

The last time I did a skincare routine post was about a year ago, I believe and since then my skin has improved a lot. So I thought i'd update you guys on what i've been using! I've gone pretty much 100% luck, which does get expensive but it makes my skin feel really amazing so I spend a little more cash. I made a post a while ago on how to get lush cheaper if you live in the us, you can check it out here.

1.) Ocean salt- $21.95 I use this whenever I feel like my skin needs a little boost. I don't use this everyday because it can get a little abrasive and if you are breaking out and use something really rough it can prematurely pop your pimples and cause acne scars. Sometimes I use this in the morning if I had a really rough night. It really wakes me up in the morning and gives my skin a nice glow. This tub lasts me about three months if I use it two-three times a week.
2.) Aqua marina- $28.95 I use this every morning and every night. This is by far my favorite cleanser from lush, which is odd for me because I usually only like things that bubble up or have little scrubbies in them, because they feel like they work better but this is a really gentle cleanser and it doesn't leave any icky residue on my face. It doesn't take off any makeup though, so before using this at night i use some makeup removing wipes. Any I can find really, I don't have a favorite kind. A tub of this lasts me about a month and a half.
3.)Tea tree water- $9.95 This toner is really great to use if you have been out all day and need a boost. I spray some on before I put my makeup on, and if my makeup feels a little heavy i'll spray some on my face and it makes everything look a little more natural. If i'm having a big breakout i'll put some on at night and it really helps calm down my skin. This has a lot of purposes! I wouldn't say that it is AMAZING, but i've bought it more than five times and it makes my skin feel nicer, although i'm not sure that it actually does anything other than make me feel nice. A bottle of this lasts me about three months.
4.) Grease lightning- $13.95 This is one of my favorite products to use, ever. I've probably repurchased this more than ten times. This is the best spot treatment i've ever used. If you have a breakout you can just dab this on the pimple, or spread it all over your face and it will help clear it up right away. If you were to just buy one thing, I would recommend this the most. This probably lasts me around a month because I use it all over my face. If you were to only use it on little spots it will most likely last you more than two months. I wish they made this in bigger bottles!
5&6.)Cupcake and The sacred truth- $6.95 (each) These two products are fresh face masks, which means they need to be kept refrigerated so they stay good. They contain products that need to be kept cool. You can't buy them online sadly, you can only get them in stores. I actually mix these two masks together and use them at the same time. Cupcake is a face mask for acne while the sacred truth really calms down irritated skin, so I found that they work really well together!
7.)Fresh Farmacy- $9.95 This is a really nice cleanser to use if you have sensitive skin. This was made for people who are sensitive to a lot of things. I use this when i'm having a breakout just to calm down my skin. It leaves your face feeling really squeaky clean. The only down side is that it comes in a bar form ; - ;...
